For over 60 years, this quiet stretch of Lake Taneycomo was known as Lazy Valley Resort. Since the early 1960s, it has served as a sanctuary for generations of families and a legendary home base for dedicated trout fishermen seeking the perfect catch.
When we stepped in as the new stewards in May 2025, we saw more than just a resort; we saw a legacy of memories, early morning lake mist, and a deep connection to the Ozarks. However, we also knew that for this landmark to thrive for another 60 years, it needed more than just a little care—it needed a complete transformation.
We spent months breathing new life into every corner of the property, balancing modern comfort with the rugged, timeless spirit of Lake Taneycomo. From the ground up, we’ve renovated each space to ensure it provides the ultimate guest experience while staying true to its roots.
Now renamed The Drift Resort, we are proud to continue the tradition of welcoming nature lovers and anglers alike.
